Supply planner intern – Unilever

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Supply Chain team, strengthen your experience as part of working directly with an international team. The Supply Planner team that you would be part of, plays a key role in Unilever’s growth plan, providing excellent service towards our customers on a sustainable inventory level, being responsible for a certain product category in the Hungarian/Adriatic market.

In this role, you would support the execution of supply planning activities and projects (incl. innovation, portfolio, repacking, obsolete) on certain product range with accountability for the customer service, stock availability and optimal inventory level. As this role is in contact with many other functions, you will be able to learn a lot about how the broader organization works.


Core responsibilities you will have during the internship:

Support the Supply Planner team in the below activities:

  • Managing the stock/inventory planning for the given category for Hungary and Adria, with responsibility for stock and service performance
  • Managing execution of all innovation activities by continuously keeping contact with the demand planner, Brand Marketing, Customer Marketing, Sales, Category planning team and factories, including production plan, run-out plan and obsoletes
  • Repacking activities
  • Follow up of the production plan with sourcing units
  • Executing cross-country stock transfers
  • Managing stock shelf life by monitoring the stock age profile vs gross requirements
  • Measuring performance for supply planning (incl. dispatch rate, cycle times, lead times, stock targets, obsolete targets), analysing losses on relevant intervals and approaches for corrective actions
  • Triggering stock release or blocking (link with Quality Assurance and Logistics)
  • Managing customer specific stock allocation based on short term forecast, when needed

As you develop in this role, your responsibilities will also include:

  • Analysing gaps and inconsistencies in the supply plan
  • Highlighting potential supply risk and communicating it within the MSO
  • Understanding warehouse and transportation capacity planning
  • Managing master data of own portfolio from initiation till discontinuation with highest accuracy
  • Supporting complexity reduction program.

Key requirements/ What needed:

  • Having previous experience in Supply Chain, Logistics area is preferred;
  • Available full time (40 hours a week);
  • Student status: Bachelor or Master studies in progress (active student status is a must), Logistics studies preferred;
  • You are able to start working in September 2020.
